Can CardsDirect Personalize my Cards with Logos, Signatures, and Custom Verses?

Yes!  Many of our customers want to add that extra touch of class to their card order by using their company logo or a custom verse.  Having CardsDirect print your signatures directly in your cards can save valuable time and trouble of getting your office associates to all sign hundreds of cards.  CardsDirect is partnered with the largest and best printers and manufacturers in the country, and we have the resources to customize your cards and make them something your customers will remember.

Logo FAQs

How Long Does it Take?
It is best to plan 2 to 3 weeks from the time you order until you receive your order.  That includes 2 - 5 business days to produce and approve your proof AND 3 - 6 business days production time AND 1 - 6 business days shipping transit time.

Is There A Minimum?


How do I Submit My Artwork?
Please EMAIL your HI-RESOLUTION artwork to us at artwork@cardsdirect.com after you have placed your order.  Please include your order number in the email so we can match it to your order.

What File Type Should I Send?
Artwork MUST be at minimum 300dpi (dots per inch).  Please be aware that a computer monitor requires much lower resolution to display images than a printing press – so images that look fine on a computer monitor don’t necessarily print well.  Images at 72dpi (such as a logo off your website) may look fine on the screen, but would be very pixilated at print resolution, and will not produce good results. 
Please submit your artwork in high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) clean, sharp camera ready artwork.. We can accept universal formats such as JPG, GIF, TIF, PDF and EPS, as well as most Adobe standard formats. Please note that Quark®, Corel® and embedded Word or PowerPoint® images are generally not usable.  Files with gradients, drop shadows, color transitions, generally do not reproduce well.  Help us prevent any delays to your order by sending only HIGH RESOLUTION camera ready artwork.

Logo Options How Do I Order a Logo?
One Color Logo - For an additional flat setup charge, CardsDirect can print your one color logo in your cards.  The setup charge covers our artwork department receiving your logo, correctly formatting it and sizing it for your card, generating a proof for your approval (click here for a proof sample), special press setup, and printing.

A ONE COLOR logo means that all of the content printed inside the card is printed in a single solid color.  Six STANDARD ink colors are offered for printing custom logos as well as Black.  Custom (PMS - Pantone Matching System) inks are also available. Just provide us the exact color number with your order.
 
One Color Logo Pricing (flat fee added to regular price per card order):
ONE COLOR logo or signature in ink or foil: $60.00 setup

A TWO COLOR logo means that there are a maximum of two solid colors printed inside the card.  Six

Special Die-Cut Logo Cards - CardsDirect offers a full line of special die-cut cards so that your logo printed inside the card will show through to the front of the card.

These cards have a limited selection of verses and your logo must fit inside the die cut hole (typically 2" in diameter).

Signatures & Custom Verses How Do I Order Signatures?
Signatures - Printing your signatures directly in your cards can save valuable time and trouble of getting your office associates to all sign hundreds of cards.  Printing signatures in your cards is exactly the same as printing a logo as described above.  It can be done in one or two colors, in combination with a logo, in combination with text lines, or by themselves.

Custom Verses - A Custom Verse allows you to be creative and very personal with the message inside your cards.  With a custom verse, you can specify your choice of font and standard ink colors.

Standard Personalization Options (no additional charge)
Selecting A Verse - As a standard option, in almost every card CardsDirect offers you can select one of our pre-formatted verses at no additional charge.  Since these verses are previously created on a "plate" used for printing, changes in font, size or wording cannot be made.  If you need changes to a verse, you must use a custom verse (see Custom Verses below).

A few of our cards come with the verse pre-printed from the manufacturer due to its size, die cuts, or special folding.  These special cards are noted in the card details and the verse cannot be changed.

When ordering your cards, a link is provided by the website that allows you to preview and select from a variety of verses.  Please note different verses may be offered on different cards due to size limitations and manufacturer.

Personalized Text - As a standard option, in almost every card CardsDirect offers, a number of personalized text lines can be printed under the verse.  In most cases, this is limited to 4 lines and 45 characters per line - but there are exceptions due to card size, orientation (horizontal or vertical), die cuts, and special folds.  Our website automatically provides the appropriate boxes for you to enter your custom text.

Custom lines of personalization will be printed in a font that complements the verse you have selected.  These lines can be any combination of upper and lower case letters, phone numbers, and website address.

Please be aware that script fonts are often very difficult to read when typeset in all capital letters (see example below).  If all CAPS are specified, a block font may be substituted by our typesetters.
How Do I Order a Logo & Other Custom Printing Options?
Custom Options such as Logos, Signatures & Custom Verses can easily be ordered over our website by following the steps below.  However, since there are so many variables, our Artwork Department will always review your order and artwork and add any additional fees AFTER we have verified everything.  If you would prefer to have us help you, just give us a call and we can walk you through the process.

Logos & Signatures

To order a custom logo or signatures, follow the 3 steps below:
  1. Select the card you would like to purchase & order it normally with any standard options you would like to choose, such as verse selection, ink color, & envelope imprint.
     
  2. Enter your request for custom options such as "ONE COLOR LOGO" or "TWO COLOR LOGO" or "SIGNATURES" along with any other details you can give us in the Special Instructions box, then complete the checkout process.
     
  3. Mail us or Email your artwork to artwork@cardsdirect.com including your name and order number in the correspondence.

That's it.  Someone from our artwork department will contact you to review your order, proof, and any additional charges before your order is processed and printed.
