PLANO, TX (December 26, 2007) – As another holiday season passes, CardsDirect, LLC (www.cardsdirect.com), an online leader in customizable, printed business greeting and holiday cards, announced today the “CardsDirect 2007/2008 Card Recycling and Re-Use Program” that provides a useful and beneficial service for disposing of greeting cards that are no longer needed at the end of the season.
Inspired by calls from non-profit organizations needing cards and inquiries from customers wondering the best way to recycle cards that will not be kept as keepsakes past the season, CardsDirect has instituted this program. Anyone wishing to participate in the program can follow these procedures:
Place all unused cards (without personalization), and/or cards being considered for disposal, in a box or envelope. Address the box or envelope and send by your carrier of preference to:

All cards collected will be separated into those that can be used by non-profit groups (e.g. cards that are blank inside except for a non-personalized verse) and those that should, and can, be recycled. For re-usable cards, the CardsDirect customer service team will determine where those can be used by organizations. For all other cards, CardsDirect, LLC will ensure that the cards are properly handled and recycled accordingly.
