When 12 year old Sherwin Pessin died from leukemia in 1946 there was almost no hope offered to adults and children stricken with blood cancers. Sherwin’s aunt decided to raise money for medical research in memory of her nephew. Ever since that time, the mission of The Leukemia Research Foundation has been to find a cure for these cancers.
