Congratulations to Melissa Mullarkey, Cheryl Chaddick, Carol Chamberlin, Laura Blizzard, and Erica Mann, the winners in the second annual CardsDirect spa contest. Their names were randomly chosen from thousands of entries submitted between October 25 and November 16, 2007 to win $100 SpaFinder gift certificates.

Ms. Cards Etiquette and the rest of the hardworking staff are rather jealous of the winners, but sadly, we are not eligible for the contest.

We’ll survive. Somehow. *sigh*

Does CardsDirect offer previews and printed proofs for our custom artwork?

I’m afraid not. We are planning to offer previews and proofs of custom artwork in the near future, but for now we will send you an electronic proof for cards featuring custom artwork.

CardsDirect is constantly working on improving the website, and working to offer new features and benefits to clients, and we appreciate your understanding in the meantime!

Well, dear readers. Just when I finally got myself all settled in here, CardsDirect is trying to make Ms. Cards Etiquette obsolete! I urge you all to write in letters of protest if you prefer your advice with a personal touch, rather than an impersonal, automated, internet-robot touch. Etiquette fans unite! You have nothing to lose but your faux pas!

Actually, in all seriousness, they have brought out a really neat new feature on the website here, and I’m pretty sure it’s not threatening my job security, so never fear…

For all of you considerate souls out there who want to make sure you write the correct thing on all your greeting cards, CardsDirect now offers “suggested wordings” for their most popular greeting card categories! Not only will this help you last-minute types pen the perfect note without waiting for your’s truly to provide you with guidance, but it will leave me free to concentrate on more unusual and ’sticky’ (read: more entertaining for you!) queries in the blog here. It’s a win-win situation if I ever heard one!

Greeting Card Payment Options

CardsDirect offers more than one way to pay for a business greeting card or holiday card order placed. In the day and age, we understand that not everyone has the capability to use a credit card online and others simply think its just plain unsafe. While we do guarantee the highest level of Internet transaction security, we understand that there are always going to be customers who will need to pay by check.

Our Pay by Check policy is simple. Once you place an order (either on the website or over the phone) in the credit card checkout field, there is also a box that states “Call Customer for additional Payment Methods). Once you order has been placed, you will be contacted by a Customer Service Representative to discuss payment options.

CardsDirect is willing to approve an order for Pay by Check and process the greeting card order prior to receiving the payment. We do have a credit department that may have you complete a short credit application prior to approving the order for Pay by Check. Payment is due when the cards are received through an invoice emailed to you once it is approved.
